Yesterday night, after spending four days sick in bed, I didn’t feel like going to sleep early, so I took out the christmas cards and started writing
Although I will be sending e-cards to some of my friends, I think it’s nice to receive cards by post. Today I got my first Christmas card from a friend of mine. I always put them out on the table in my room. I feel they contribute to the Christmas atmosphere
After work I have to go and buy the stamps, so that I can send them and hopefully the ones I am sending abroad will get there on time by next week!
Phewwww it’s been some time since I last updated here! Thing is I had loads of activities during graduation weekend..it was a weekend full of outings and events to celebrate graduation with friends:) Then I went back to work on Tuesday and Wednesday, and they were two packed days trying to catch up with work. Unfortunately by Wednesday, all those activities and being out all the time caught up with me, and I ended up sick with a cold and dead tired! I had to take sick leave on Thursday and Friday, but today I am back at work and feeling a bit better (although not fully recovered yet!)
This afternoon, during my lunch break, I went to collect my graduation gown for tomorrow
I already feel excited
Yesterday evening I met up with some of my friends in my course, and we prepared the banners for the buscade on Friday
We spent over 4 hours preparing two banners, which we will be fixing to the buses on Friday.
I hope it won’t be raining though, as the weather forecast was not very favourable..:(
Problems with parking? Not to worry - here is the solution - cars that make parking easy!
After a long period of waiting for graduation time, graduation activities start officially tomorrow!
We have mass in the evening in Valletta, and I decided to take the day off from work..should be a nice long weekend with activities starting tomorrow evening
After tomorrow, the next activity should be the Graduation Concert on the 28th November, and then Graduation Day on the 4th December, as well as the well-know graduation buscade on the 5th December, and finally the Graduation Ball on the 6th December
And to mark the start of the activities, I FINALLY managed to find a dress for the Graduation Ball, which I just bought this evening!
The virtual tour of ancient Rome will allow one to retrace the footsteps of gladiators, philosophers, centurions and senators. All this can be done through Google Earth, and the 3D map is designed to give web users, students and historians a better understanding of how Rome looked centuries ago. There are more than 6,700 buildings to explore, and scholars have provided information about many of the key monuments and sights to act as a guide for the virtual citadel.
The software, which shows Rome at the height of its development in 320AD, was developed by Google in association with the Universtity of California and University of Virginia.
Tonight it’s friends night out
I’m going to meet with my friends from University, and we’re going out for a meal. This restaurant is well known for its large portions! I will surely take the camera with me and I will post pics here
I’m really looking forward to this, as we haven’t met for a friends night out since August!
