I’ve just been watching Tv, and came across a TV programme related to modelling, whereby there was a modelling competition for young kings (and I mean really young!) This made me really angry. Ok maybe not a lot of people agree with me, but I feel that young kids (most of whom don’t even know how to walk properly yet!) are made to compete against each other, instilling in them that competition feeling. The bad thing, I feel, is that they are made to compete against others in beauty/fashion-related matters. Probably they will grow up thinking that looks, being beautiful, and coming first in modelling competitions are the most important things in life!

I believe that modelling is something that one decides to want to do, not something that your parents make you do! Especially at that age! I believe that they should be given time to choose what they want to do in life. Taking part in modelling shows should be something chosen by them, and not by their parents when they are still very young!

  1. Arthur's Mummy

As a Mummy to a lovely little boy, I would love it if my son could model. It is a though business. Truthfully where I am based is not very central which is why I don’t try harder. But if I could, I would. It would be something he could look back on to. However, I would not allow the competition to be an important factor. I think I would just sign on with modelling companies and have them contact us if Arthur fitted the bill rather than actual competitions (which is not really important)! Mind you, I did submit him for a couple of competitions. And no - he did not win… but we have a few lovely photos. :)
