I’ve watched the news yesterday, and I was very angry..after all I’ve seen! Bus drivers, minibus drivers, hearses’ drivers and taxi drivers decided to strike yesterday, causing chaos on Maltese roads.
I mean..come on..first you strike (affecting many people!), then as if that was not enough, you block the roads!!! And some of them even became aggressive…!! Did they think about the consequences?! Do they know that even if they decided not to work..there are many others who have to go to work?! What about people departing/arriving at the airport? Tourists who were stranded at the airport or at the accommodation, just because they had no transport? And those waiting outside the airport, in that heat?! I bet they won’t be coming back again, neither will their friends and relatives! What about shops in Valletta? They surely had less people yesterday…
Come on..we’re surely more civilised than that?!

We often have tube strikes in the UK, causing chaos and disruption, so I know your fury.
It’s always the innocent people who suffer…
Exactly..those who want to go to work, have to travel, and don’t have other means of transport are the ones who suffer, unfortunately! The worst thing is that what they were doing in this case was illegal, as they were blocking roads and not letting other people travel! They even disrupted emergency trasnport services!
