I was reading the news, and came across an article saying that giant supermarket Tesco are starting to trial carbon labels. The footprint label has been devised by Carbon Trust which is also working with other companies. Labels show how many grams of carbon dioxide each product emits.
Carbon Trust was set up in 2001 as an independent company, and its mission is to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy by working with organisations to reduce carbon emissions and develop commercial low carbon technologies.
