Photo(s) of the day

posted by kry in UK, pics

Last time I mentioned in my post one of the hobbies I had years ago - collecting phone cards, and I mentioned how people don’t use telephone boxes much these days, since nearly everyone has a mobile phone.

Today, the photos I’m posting are from my recent trip to the UK. Whilst in Kingston on Thames, we saw these telephone boxes, which reminded me of some of the oldest telephone boxes we have here in Malta. You can still see some of them in certain places.

Hey, I’m a Brit who now lives in Malta. I used to work opposite those phone boxes. There’s an old police station right next to them, although it hasn’t been a police station for donkey’s years. It was an office when I worked there.

I spent a significant part of my life living in Kingston. It’s changed radically and for the better over the years. I’ve always loved those phone boxes.

I now live in Malta, in Sliema.

Kingston on Thames is a very nice place..I visited twice during the week I was staying in Walton on Thames last March. Very nice areas indeed :) Will surely visit again!
