As part of the research I am doing at the moment, which is partly concerned with security issues with regards to surveillance technologies, I am also coming across a lot of material related to security on the internet, especially when it comes to file transfer.
This morning I came across the term SCP, which after researching about it, I realized it meant Secure Copy, which is a means of securely transferring computer files between a local and a remote host or between two remote hosts, using the Secure Shell (SSH) protocol.
Today, especially businesses, are being faced with security challenges associated with remote management, file transfer, and application delivery across a networked environment.
