The interesting aspect of this website is that it has a news section, whereby news items related to mortgages and lending as well as other financial news are listed in this section.
An interesting news article which I read in this section is in a way related to the environment. This is because what it termed ‘solar mortgage’ is being launched by a particular bank. Basically, through this mortgage option, people who have solar power installed in their homes can have a discounted mortgage. The bank has teamed up with a solar energy company and it will offer borrowers a 50 per cent discount off the banks variable rate in order to free up money for them to install the latest solar photovoltaic technology.
It’s interesting to see how environmental issues are being tackled by various industries, in this particular case, by bank and mortgage lenders.
