I know I am already late with January’s review, but better late than never ![]()
We started the year in Valletta, since we went for the NYE celebrations, which were organised to celebrate the adoption of the Euro on 1st January.
January was the month of the adoption of the Euro in Malta. The first couple of weeks were very hectic for banks, and it was near to impossible to get in and out of a bank in less than 2 hours, since there were long queues in banks due to everyone trying to change the LM money into Euros.
Early in January I managed to start writing the dissertation, and managed to write the introduction, which was a great relief to at least know that the first few words are written ![]()
January hasn’t been interesting really, considering that a large part of the month involved exams! As soon as I got back to uni after the Christmas holidays, I only had less than 2 weeks to start studying for exams! In fact, last month it has been a very stressful one, since I had my finals. I had five finals in total, between the 19th and 31st of January and I didn’t have much time for myself, since I had to concentrate on studying.
In January we also had nice weather most weekends, so we went for walks on Sunday afternoons, which helped me to distract myself from exams for a couple of hours ![]()
Early in January I realised that it had been a long time since I updated my Facebook, so I logged in, and found a lot of friends with whom I had lost contact with. It was nice getting to know what they are doing, and what they have been up to in the past years ![]()
I also discovered the joys of owning a PSP, which is my latest gadget, which I got as a present for Christmas. It’s great having a gadget which can serve a number of purposes, including listening to music, playing games, watching videos and browsing the internet ![]()
In January I also had my 23rd birthday, so I got to ‘”celebrate” being a year older!

Happy belated birthday
Thanks Andre
Nice review of the month
