Storing books

After I finish exams, I have to clear my study and I decided to store books which I won’t be using in boxes since we will be moving soon. Since they will be stored in the garage, I decided to do some research about how to best store them, and whether I can do something to preserve them since they will be stored for a long time. This is what I found:
