Since the Euro changeover earlier this month, it’s been near to impossible to get a service from the bank within a short period of time. Every time you go to the bank, irrelevant of what time it is, be it early in the morning or late in the afternoon, you are bound to find long queues of people waiting to exchange money. The first time I went to the bank I could only exchange LM 250, so I had to go back again a couple of days later. I went late in the afternoon since I thought there wouldn’t be much queue but I ended up in the queue for nearly two hours!! At that point, after I got out of the bank, I really appreciated the fact that I wouldn’t be queuing again for so long since I usually use internet banking for my personal financial services. So it was only a one-time occasion at least.
