This morning, whilst reading The Guardian, I came across this article outlining a new project related to the environment. Basically it is about a £5bn solar power plan. The aim is to build a number of giant solar power stations along the Mediterranean desert shores of northern Africa and the Middle East, where generators fitted with huge mirrors would generate electricity, which will be transmitted to Europe by cables and then distributed to countries in the EU.
