Here’s an interesting project, which I discovered after reading an article on The Guardian.
The goal of this project is that of providing children around the world with new opportunities to explore, experiment and express themselves.
One of the initiatives of this project is the Give 1 Get 1 Program, where in return for spending $399 (£197), customers will receive their own laptop as well as paying for a second computer for children in deprived parts of the world such as Afghanistan, Haiti and Rwanda.
Interesting features of these laptops include a high-resolution screen and low power consumption - in fact they can be powered by solar energy, foot pump or a clockwork charger.
