Life at work
posted by kry in workI’ve already been at work for two weeks. I’ve been so busy that I barely had time to use my laptop at home, which explains my lack of blogging.
Even though I’ve only been there for two weeks, I already realised how hectic it is to work in publishing and advertising, with deadlines which have to be met and dealing continuously with clients. It is a very challenging industry and at times it can be stressful especially when deadlines have to be met and there are problems to solve in a short period of time.
I realised how different things are in reality - there is a wide gap between theory learned at University and reality at the place of work. I also experienced a big difference between working in a shop, which I had done for the past years during vacations, and working in an office. I think I prefer working in an office rather than working in a shop, especially since when I used to work in a shop I used to work all the Public Holidays, whereas now I get to take the day off on Public Holidays
