Over the weekend we watched three movies - Spanglish, Ice Age and Shaun of the Dead.
Spanglish is about a Mexican woman and her daughter who move to Los Angeles searching for a better life. Some time later, the woman finds a job as housekeeper for a rich family. From then onwards, the movie revolves round a clash of culture, values, lifestyle and also language barriers.
Ice Age is an animated movie, set during the Ice Age involving a group of different animals with different characters joining forces to return a child to his father. I liked this movie and I’m looking forward to watch Ice Age 2 - The Meltdown
Shaun of the Dead is about a 29 year old having problems in his life - with his girlfriend, his housemates and at work. At one point, everything changes - with people becoming like zombies and killing each other and he has to save the people he cares about and prove that he can be responsible. This movie is similar to 28 days later - not my type of movie so although I watched it till the end, I didn’t like it.
