Finally this evening I decided which book to read and review for my Rule of Law assignment and I went to buy it (with the hope of reading it this weekend).
I chose Anil’s Ghost by Michael Ondaatje, the same author of The English Patient, which I haven’t read yet but read good reviews about it.
Also this morning our Development in Industrial Societies lecturer gave us an assignment where we have to review another book, this time related to development. The book is Pedagogy of the Oppressed, written by Paulo Freire. I tried to buy it this evening but they don’t have it at the bookshop; tried the website from where I usually buy my dvds and books and it is out of stock there too. I will have to try and see from where to get it as soon as possible! Hopefully it will be available soon as I can’t start the assignment without first reading the book.
